Talofa lava,

My name is Kendal Collins, and I’m the Founder and CEO of Sisters United and the Founder of Sisters United Academy. I’m of Samoan and European heritage, and a social worker by background with over 20 years of experience working in schools and alongside Pasifika youth.

Building this school has been a dream come true - a place created for our girls to feel seen, valued, and inspired to become confident, proud young women who will chase their dreams, change their futures, and lead the way for our Pasifika community. My heart has always been to empower Pasifika girls to know who they are, to believe in what they can become, and to walk boldly in their purpose.

I’m married and a proud mum of three boys and one daughter - who will one day walk through the doors of Sisters United Academy herself, a true full-circle moment.

Talofa lava,

O lo’u igoa o Bonnie Rae Talamaivao.
As a proud daughter of the Pacific, with roots deeply grounded in Samoa, it is both an honour and a privilege to serve as Principal of Sisters United Academy. My passion lies in seeing our young women thrive — to pursue excellence in education and to step boldly into their futures with confidence, purpose, and pride.

I am a daughter, sister, cousin, friend, and my favourite role of all time, Aunty. I come from a big, loving aiga, so I know first-hand the importance and value of the village.
My hope for every student who walks through our doors is that she builds a strong foundation in her cultural identity, academic achievement, and personal growth. Through these, she can explore her passions, discover her purpose, and graduate ready to flourish in the world she is entering. We believe our girls deserve the best — the best opportunities, education, and support to reach their highest potential.

With a Master’s in Education and experience as a Deputy Principal, my journey in education has taken me through alternative education settings, the founding of a new school in 2017, and the design and leadership of an innovative curriculum that placed learners at the heart of everything. These experiences have shaped my vision for a school where Pasifika excellence is not just celebrated — it is expected and realised every day.

Together with our community, families, and a dedicated team, we are creating a space where our girls can see themselves reflected, valued, and empowered to lead the way.
